Millions of Mobile phone customers to face tariff increases of 17.3% from April 1st 2023.
From 1st April 2023, Virgin Mobile customers will see a 17.3% increase in the cost of monthly airtime plans.
This change is based on the RPI inflation figure of 13.4% released by The Office for National Statistics in February 2023, with an additional 3.9% added.
The price increase applies to all Virgin Mobile monthly airtime plans, but not to the cost of calls, texts and data outside of the monthly allowance.
Freestyle handset loans will not be affected.
This increase is yet another addition to the ever-increasing cost of living, and Virgin Mobile customers are encouraged to review their current plans to see if switching to a better value value option for their needs.
The change in cost becomes effective from 1st April 2023.
If you need any help, you can call 789 from your Virgin Mobile phone.
A Virgin Media O2 spokesperson said “We are only changing our airtime prices, meaning average bills will go up by an effective 10% or less”
