Hogwarts Legacy – Official Game Goes Live Today

Today marks the launch of the highly anticipated open world adventure game, Hogwarts Legacy set in the 1800s.

The long-awaited open world adventure title, Hogwarts Legacy, goes live today, but not without controversy.

Warner Bros has already confirmed that you’ll need to download the day one patch and install this game update at some point today. The Hogwarts Legacy UK launch time on PC isn’t occurring until 6pm GMT, the update may not drop until then.

This game sees players attend the iconic wizarding school made famous by the Harry Potter series.

Players will get to experience Hogwarts like never before, with the game set in the 1800s, before the time of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Players can explore the castle, learn to cast spells, race around on a broomstick, battle giant spiders and collect hats and scarves.

Anti-JK Rowling campaigners have taken aim at the game, with two prominent YouTube personalities, Shelby and Matt of Girlfriend Reviews, coming under fire for daring to try the game out live on their Twitch stream.

This resulted in Shelby being reduced to tears due to a barrage of insults from trolls. Despite the backlash, Hogwarts Legacy is expected to be one of the biggest-selling premium releases of 2023.
