This standalone adventure, from Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow, unveils the origin story of the unforgettable warrior Furiosa, played by Charlize Theron in the Oscar-winning “Mad Max: Fury Road.” Miller, the visionary behind the franchise, directs and produces alongside his longtime collaborator, Oscar-nominated Doug Mitchell. As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

Miller reunites with his “Mad Max: Fury Road” co-writer Nico Lathouris to craft the script. Behind the scenes, a powerhouse team assembles, including veterans from the previous film. Action aficionados will recognize stunt coordinator Guy Norris and second unit director PJ Voeten. Visuals come alive with director of photography Simon Duggan and Oscar-winning veterans like production designer Colin Gibson, editor Margaret Sixel, sound mixer Ben Osmo, costume designer Jenny Beavan, and makeup designer Lesley Vanderwalt. Composer Tom Holkenborg creates the score, while sound designer Robert Mackenzie, editor Eliot Knapman, and visual effects supervisor Andrew Jackson round out the team’s talent.
