ACER Care Centre app says the drive cannot be defragged, there is no option to Trim it, but this is available with Windows defrag. It seems ACER could do with fixing this. With the Samsung NVMe Drive, it is possible to use Samsung Magician to benchmark the hardware.

Software and Apps

The Nvidia software is installed and gives Game Ready driver updates.

The Killer wifi comes with Control Centre 2.3.

The Acer updater has updates on the first day I got the Nitro, a week ago, but nothing since.

NitroSense gives options on performance and fan control. So far on Acer Optimised, the laptop performs fast.

Norton Security Ultra is also pre-installed and nice to know you have it while setting up the computer.

ISSUES

Acer Care Center does not update itself or any other drivers, it does not function as described.

Tech support closed my case as repaired but it has not been fixed.  
They have also not returned calls multiple times as promised.
I am now contacting CEO Jason Chen.

I am also posting in several computer forums.

So now this software needs to be fixed, and if Acer carries on failing to give support, then that is a breach of ACER Terms.
All laptops come with support, if they ignore and fail to return calls on multiple occasions, then this is unacceptable.

The retailer refunded me 10% that’s £105  for ACER misinforming me it came with a Gen4 NVMe.
