So I have a 6th gen i7 All-in-one PC, then last year I got the 7th gen Laptop, and now in 2018 I get the latest 8th gen HP again from currys pc world.
It comes with less RAM memory, but this has double the cache from 3 to 6MB.
The battery life has increased an extra 2 hours from 9 to 11hours.
Not bad for a laptop that now has a Quad core processor. (specs below)
The 8th-Gen Core chips include Speed Shift technology. The technology allows a processor to more quickly settle on its best operating frequency, thus optimizing performance and efficiency.
Now one year on and its 8th gen intel comes to HP laptops.

Intel stated that the eighth generation would be based on multiple microarchitectures, including Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake, and Cannonlake.
